TOPIC 2 – Adaptive and Multifunctional Forest Management Systems
We are seeking to participate as a technology partner within a consortium, without taking on the role of project coordinator.
Our contribution would focus on the field of connectivity, LoRaWAN networks and sensor technology applied to forest environments. As an initial proposal, we suggest contributing to the development of a ‘virtual laboratory’ for forest monitoring and to the implementation of a connected forest pilot scheme, through the deployment of communications infrastructure and sensor networks capable of collecting and transmitting information relevant to forest management.
We can provide technical expertise in the design and deployment of connectivity, the management of LoRaWAN networks, the integration of different types of sensors, and the processing of the data generated.
However, this is an open proposal. We are interested in joining consortia that require this type of expertise and adapting our contribution to the project’s specific objectives, use cases and needs.
We are a research group at the University of Zaragoza with expertise in the field of IoT, connectivity and sensor technology.
The group also has access to a park situated in a natural setting, which can be used as a testing ground for the development and validation of pilot trials under real-world conditions.
This combination of technological capabilities and access to a demonstration environment enables us to participate in research and innovation projects relating to the monitoring, connectivity and sensorisation of natural areas, as well as to contribute to the practical validation of new solutions.
