TOPIC 3 – Timber and Innovative Wood-Based Products
I am a senior scientist working at SINTEF Industry, Norway. I am interested in joining the consortium for Topic 3, Timber and Innovative Wood Based Products, under the FOREST Joint Call 2026.
My research interests include:
- Wood functionalisation: Surface modification to enhance wood performance and functionality.
- Biobased coatings: Sustainable coatings using renewable materials.
- Durability: Improving resistance to weathering, moisture and wear to extend service life.
- Flame retardancy: Developing sustainable treatments to improve fire performance.
- Hydrophobicity: Enhancing water repellency and moisture resistance.
- PFAS free coatings: Developing effective surface protection with reduced environmental impacts.
- Debonding on demand: Designing durable adhesive interfaces that allow controlled separation for repair, reuse and recycling.
I welcome collaboration with research and industrial partners developing innovative wood products for a circular bioeconomy.
