I serve as a full-time Professor in the Department of Silviculture at the Faculty of Forestry, Bartın University—one of Türkiye's oldest and best-equipped forestry faculties. In my research, I evaluate data obtained through remote sensing and terrestrial methods using the latest numerical climate change models; I perform statistical analyses and present model outputs—both visually and numerically—via newly generated digital maps. I successfully assess and analyze—at both species and area levels—the risks, biodiversity shifts, habitat changes, and spatial alterations caused (or potentially caused) by climate change. Accordingly, as a silviculturist, I design climate-resilient primary and secondary forest structures by accounting for micro-ecological and biological variables; I provide practitioners with recommendations—regarding silvicultural interventions, treatment intensity, afforestation sites, and the selection of species, origins, and clones—that maintain an accuracy rate of at least 95%. I would be delighted to support your projects by participating in them.
As one of Türkiye’s oldest and most well-established forestry faculties, the Bartın University Faculty of Forestry possesses a comprehensive and complete physical and "phygital" infrastructure. The silviculture and technology laboratories at our disposal are fully equipped with all the necessary instrumentation and software capabilities.
