TOPIC 3 – Timber and Innovative Wood-Based Products
We are interested in joining the international consortium under Topic 3-Timber and Innovative Wood-Based Products to contribute to the decarbonization of the construction industry.
The circular bioeconomy is one of the most discussed concepts in today’s building sector. In this context, bio-based products show promising results. Wood-based products demonstrated carbon reduction, structural performance, thermal and sound insulation, and improved indoor environmental quality. However, uptake of these materials in construction projects has not increased as quickly as expected. We focus on the supply chain and aim to improve the supply chain of forest-based building materials to increase their industrial uptake by integrating digital technologies such as AI and ML.
We are open to collaboration with research organizations and industrial partners manufacturing wood-based products, developing technologies, or producing construction materials.
