TOPIC 1 – Climate-Resilient Forest Systems
We want to join a topic 1 consortium as partner, to which we can offer inter- and transdisciplinary research expertise, including knowledge co-production by researchers and stakeholders, development of conceptual frameworks, project synthesis, and preparation of outputs for policy and practice. Our stakeholder engagement process typically combines joint problem framing by researchers and stakeholders, joint problem analysis, and impact exploration. It seeks to cover systems, target, and transformation knowledge in ways that allow for identifying feasible pathways from current state of forests towards future desired states of forests in a changing climate.
ETH Zürich is a leading technical university in Europe, and Transdisciplinarity Lab (TdLab) has been a hub for transdisciplinary knowledge and methods since more than a decade. We have rich experience in collaboration with natural scientists, social scientists, policymakers, and practitioners. We use proven transdisciplinary tools, pilot new ones, and combine them with qualitative social science methods. We bring skills in facilitation of knowledge integration processes from start to end that increase the societal relevance of research findings.
