Marmara Forestry Research Institute (Türkiye) seeks to join international consortia preparing proposals under Topic 1. Ecosystem Services: Quantifying, and evaluating non-provisioning and provisioning forest ecosystem services to enhance forest resilience.
We are interested in collaborating with research organizations, universities, forest authorities, and innovation networks developing holistic solutions for forest ecosystem resilience, biodiversity monitoring, and sustainable bioeconomy models under Topic 1.
Biomass & Carbon/Yield Modeling: Estimating NTFP biomass availability and yield potential to prevent over-exploitation and preserve forest biodiversity.
Sustainable NTFP Resource Management: Integrating sustainable harvesting limits and ecological thresholds into forest conservation and biodiversity preservation strategies.
Marmara Forestry Research Institute (Marmara Ormancılık Araştırma Enstitüsü) is a public research institution operating under the General Directorate of Forestry (OGM) in Türkiye. The institute conducts scientific research on forest management, silviculture, forest protection, biodiversity conservation, and the sustainable use of non-timber forest products (NTFPs), primarily focusing on the ecological conditions of the Marmara and surrounding regions to support sustainable forestry practices and climate resilience.
