Laimburg Research Centre is interested in joining international research consortia addressing plant health, climate resilience, biodiversity and sustainable production systems.
The Centre’s research focuses primarily on agricultural production systems relevant to South Tyrol, particularly fruit growing and viticulture. Its expertise includes plant health and sustainable crop protection, pest management, digital and smart agriculture, sensor-based technologies, and applied field research.
While its core activities are rooted in agriculture, Laimburg is open to exploring collaborations in other research fields where its expertise, methodologies and experience in applied research, field experimentation and technology validation can be transferred and adapted to the specific needs of a project.
Laimburg Research Centre is an applied research institution in South Tyrol, northern Italy, supporting innovation in agriculture and food processing.
Its research focuses on sustainable and resilient cultivation systems, plant production, plant health and sustainable crop protection, digital and smart agriculture, plant phenotyping, and natural resources, biodiversity and climate resilience, particularly in mountainous agricultural systems.
The Centre combines scientific expertise with field experimentation and the testing and validation of innovative technologies and approaches under real production conditions. It collaborates with research institutions, universities, public organisations and private companies at national and European level.
