TOPIC 1 – Climate-Resilient Forest Systems
We would like to join as a partner in a consortium under Topic 1. We work in plant biochemistry and molecular biology. For over 30 years, our group has been working on nitrogen nutrition and metabolism in conifers, although we are currently also working on sulfur. In the past, we have also worked on wood formation from a molecular biology perspective. We have extensive experience in gene expression analysis, molecular cloning, protein expression and omics techniques, particularly in transcriptomics. We would be a valuable addition to carrying out molecular analyses within a project focused on the forestry sector.
The University of Málaga has sufficient experience and the appropriate facilities to carry out a transnational project. It is situated at a key transport hub, next to one of Spain’s most important airports and close to various forest areas. The members of the Integrative Molecular Biology Lab have experience in various transnational European projects and strong technical expertise in the field of forest molecular biology.
