TOPIC 2 – Adaptive and Multifunctional Forest Management Systems
COILL Earth is seeking a European research coordinator and funded partners for a transnational living-lab proposal. The concept combines remote sensing, aerial and field observations, persistent tree-level evidence and non-destructive forest-product value chains to support adaptive forest management and a traceable tropical bioeconomy.
The proposed project would validate methods across tropical and European field contexts and develop decision-support tools, indicators and governance protocols. We are particularly interested in partners with expertise in forest ecology, adaptive management, remote sensing, AI and model validation, forest value chains, socioeconomics, governance, ABS and data management.
Brazilian funding eligibility is being confirmed with CONFAP and FAPERO. An eligible research partner in Amazonas is also being sought through the FAPEAM route.
COILL Earth is a Brazilian technology company based in Porto Velho, in the Amazon region. The company develops approaches for integrating satellite, aerial, drone, field and public data to support territorial intelligence, environmental monitoring, forest inventories and traceable bioeconomy initiatives.
COILL can contribute a potential tropical validation environment, geospatial-data integration, field-verification methods, tree-level evidence architecture and engagement with territorial stakeholders, subject to appropriate agreements. Proprietary models, datasets and commercially sensitive information are excluded from this public profile and would only be discussed under suitable confidentiality, intellectual-property and data-governance arrangements.
