TOPIC 2 – Adaptive and Multifunctional Forest Management Systems
We offer power efficient electronics and energy harvesting for IoT/mixed-signal communication receivers and transmitters, radar/JCAS and low-noise amplifiers for sensors, as well as biosensors with our partner.
We can have a short meeting to discuss technological fit. See you!
TU Dresden (TUD) is a German University of Excellence, one of the largest technical universities in Germany, with about 36,000 students and a strong electrical engineering profile at the center of Europe’s largest microelectronics cluster, Silicon Saxony.
EKI-Saxony (“Energieautarke Kommunikations- und Informationstechnologien aus Sachsen”) is a TUD-led research network, ERDF-funded and running to the end of 2027. It aims to cut the energy consumption of radio chips and ICT systems so far that miniature harvesting modules can power them from light, heat, or motion.
TUD’s Chair for Circuit Design and Network Theory under Prof. Frank Ellinger leads the consortium, which combines Saxon research institutions (e.g. Hochschule Zittau/Görlitz) with microelectronics industry partners, and it underpins technologies such as the SITO wake-up receiver (−93 dBm, 65 pJ/bit).
