I am a researcher at Karadeniz Technical University, Faculty of Forestry, Türkiye, holding a PhD in forest ecology and soil science. I am interested in joining an international research consortium as a research partner under the FORESTPathways 2026 Joint Call.
My research focuses on forest soil carbon and nitrogen dynamics, dissolved organic nitrogen, extractable free amino acids, soil physicochemical properties, and the effects of environmental and forest stand-structural gradients on soil processes.
My doctoral research investigated carbon and dissolved organic nitrogen accumulation in natural Oriental spruce (Picea orientalis) forests across altitudinal gradients and different stand characteristics in northeastern Türkiye.
I have experience in forest soil sampling, laboratory analyses, HPLC-based amino acid determination, and statistical analysis of ecological datasets.
I would be pleased to contribute to collaborative research involving forest soil carbon and nitrogen cycling, climate resilience, soil nutrient dynamics, ecosystem monitoring, and sustainable forest management.
I am particularly interested in participating as a research partner in an existing or developing international consortium.
Karadeniz Technical University (KTU) is a public research university located in Trabzon, Türkiye.
The Faculty of Forestry has academic expertise in forest ecology, forest soils, silviculture, forest management, and environmental sciences.
The Eastern Black Sea region provides valuable opportunities for field-based research in montane forest ecosystems, particularly natural Oriental spruce (Picea orientalis) forests.
Research activities include forest ecosystem monitoring, soil sampling, laboratory-based soil analyses, and investigations of environmental and stand-related factors influencing forest ecosystem processes.
The university offers an academic environment for interdisciplinary research and international scientific collaboration.
