Total Strategic Budget: $223,500 USD (approx. 205,000 EUR)
The primary focus of cooperation for this project is to establish a mutually beneficial partnership that combines European institutional funding and technical coordination with local land security, private operational execution, and long-term agricultural sustainability in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
Under the framework of the NDICI – Global Europe (2021-2027) and Horizon Europe Cluster 6, our cooperation interest is structured around clear operational boundaries, split contributions, and concrete developmental goals:
The Mulungwishi Agricultural Domain is a private, family-run agricultural initiative based in the Haut-Katanga Province, Democratic Republic of the Congo, under the direct leadership of Mr. Kiebo Mwanza Floribert. The organization is dedicated to strengthening regional food security sustainably through a 14.5-hectare pilot model combining regenerative agroforestry and intensive market gardening. The initiative integrates a high-density fruit orchard canopy with a secured irrigation grid for rotational food crops. By replacing traditional subsistence farming methods with modernized water infrastructure and targeted agricultural mechanization, the organization actively works to combat localized deforestation, achieve full operational autonomy within 24 months, and provide reliable food production for the regional markets of Likasi and Kambove, Kolwezi to mitigate structural dependency on volatile food supplies.
