TOPIC 4 – Forest Value Chains, Markets and Governance
Eosfera Research Innovation Technology Inc. is preparing a proposal under Topic 4 – Forest Value Chains, Markets and Governance concerning the sustainable valorisation of an underutilised Mediterranean non-timber forest resource.
The proposed project will examine how sustainable resource mobilisation, rural participation, governance, market organisation and commercial uptake can be combined in a viable forest-based value chain, with a demonstration in the Istanbul–Marmara region of Türkiye.
We are seeking complementary international partners with expertise in areas such as:
- NTFP value chains and forest governance;
- rural livelihoods, cooperatives and stakeholder participation;
- value-chain economics and business-model innovation;
- commercialisation, market uptake and scalability;
- traceability and responsible sourcing;
- socio-economic impact and transferability across European contexts.
We are building a compact consortium and are particularly interested in partners able to take a clearly defined research role under Topic 4.
Eosfera Research Innovation Technology Inc. is a research-driven innovation company based at Istanbul Technical University Arı Teknopark in Istanbul, Türkiye. The company develops sustainable bioresource and food-system solutions with a focus on the valorisation of underutilised biological resources and their transition into viable value chains.
The proposed FOREST project builds on the founder’s previous international research and project-management experience concerning Mediterranean acorn resources through the PRIMA MEDACORNET project, while the new proposal will be developed under an independent research and innovation framework.
Within the FOREST proposal, Eosfera intends to coordinate the Turkish demonstration and contribute the applied innovation, market and implementation perspective required to assess the feasibility, replicability and scalability of the proposed forest-based value-chain model.
